Koenigsmark Mill, Waterloo, Illinois

A photographer looks at a scene and selects objects that will make the image work. While the mill is the subject of the photograph, the sky, brighten by sun lightening the clouds, was very important. Hence, the little white house and the tree were essential to completing the composition.
