Lake Pepin: Catherine Pass

Lake Pepin formed in the Upper Mississippi River when silt and sand washed out of the Chippewa River and dammed the Mississippi. At one time the lake extended from Wabasha, Minnesota north to St. Paul. Catherine Pass is a small inlet in Lake Pepin.
